Geller Stays In The Fight Against Gunzburger

Former Florida Senate Minority Leader Steve Geller says that if he could have been reached by phone on Monday, he could have disspelled the rumors that he might switch county commission races “in five minutes.”

“I was practicing law up in Flagler County.  I was in a hearing so I couldn’t be reached.  What I would have said is, ‘I’m staying where I am. I’m running for District 6,'”  says Geller.

Republicans don’t care that the GOP color pallet looks like chocolate chip ice cream that is chintzy on the chips.

You can include in that list the GOP’s mouthpieces — FOX News, The (Angry Old Whie Peoples’) Tea Party or The Young Republicans. 

They all believe in an America that is as white and Christian as a 1950s television sitcom…and about as relevant to today’s reality.

Castillo Running For County Commission

Pembroke Pines Commissioner Angelo Castillo didn’t wait long about seven hours to be precise.

Castillo filed to run for the seat being abandoned by Diana Wasserman-Rubin just before 2 p.m. on Monday.

Battered by illness and allegations of corruption, County Commissioner Diana Wasserman-Rubin is not running for re-election.

“She realized she was in no shape to face a difficult campaign,” said a friend of Wasserman-Rubin. “I talked to her this morning and she is at peace.  She made the decision all by herself.  Nobody forced her to do anything.”

Eggelletion Pleads Guilty, Likely To Lose Pension

Josephus Eggelletion did his bit today to close the deficit in the state pension fund.

The disgraced former Broward County commissioner pleaded guilty in a Broward Circuit Court to bribery. 

By pleading guilty, the state is expected to deny Eggelletion his state pension because he will be adjudicated a felon who committed his crime as a county commissioner. Read the rest of this entry »
