Video: Pro-Medical Marijuana Ad Hits Air

United For Care, the pro-medical marijuana group, began airing the following 30-second spot across Florida today.

“Although opponents of Amendment 2 have attempted to muddy the waters, the issue is really quite simple,” said Ben Pollara, Campaign Manager at United for Care, in a news release. “Florida physicians should have the option to recommend medical marijuana to seriously ill patients who may benefit from its use without interference from politicians. That is what our campaign is fundamentally about, and I believe the spot successfully conveys that.”

“Twenty three other states plus the District of Columbia have already done this successfully; I believe Florida voters are compassionate and they feel it’s time for us to do the same thing right here in our State,” said Pollara.

Here is the spot:

  1. Wondering says:

With cities, such as Coconut Creek, quickly passing temporary moratoriums/bans on marijuana dispensaries in order to keep medicinal “Marijuana” storefronts/businesses out of their cities, where will people go to fill their prescription?

    FROM BUDDY:

I hope all the people in Wynmoor and the rest of Coconut Creek with pain from various diseases remember the city commissioners that voted for this.

Wow Dude! Like that is totally awesome!

  3. consultant says:

This is actually not all that fantastic of an ad. It’s not exactly one that will be talked about for years.

  4. wayne arnold says:

Buddy, this opportunity to vote affirmatively on medical marijuana in the November General Election is a vital step forward for sick people who suffer great pain. Even my Dad at 101 who lives in Tallahassee says he will vote yes on the Amendment. And, he’s a Conservative.

  5. saw the anti commercial says:

  7. Sam The Sham says:

The voice-over in the spot does not match the quote from Ben Pollara. I think that Pollara’s quote is more effective language.

  8. Well Said says:

I have had the pleasure of the weed for over 45 years…..and can simply say that the amount of time, money, and human capitol spent outlawing its’ use is sad and dumb….but way way more dumb…..
