Stacy Ritter Goes On The Offense Against Critics

Broward Mayor Stacy Ritter believes in the old adage: The best defense is an offense.
The target of weeks of relentlessly negative stories, Ritter this week began striking back at her critics.
The latest Ritter counterattack was at the robing ceremony for nine new judges at the Broward County Courthouse.
Ritter said help was coming to improve the crumbling courthouse. She cited a recent newspaper article.
Then using her well-known barbed wit, Ritter quipped that article was “apparently the only true thing that has been written lately.
The audience of several hundred lawyers, judges, family members and courthouse insiders chuckled.
It was a sample of what Ritter and her husband promise. To go on the offensive against what they call unfair media coverage.
Given Mayor Ritter’s access to audiences, there will be a lot more public criticism of the media. But the offensive will get a lot more serious than quips at meetings.
Ritter and her lobbyist husband Russ Klenet believe they are being unjustly skewered by stories carefully crafted to create a false impression that they are ethically challenged.
The articles have a common theme. They contend Ritter casts votes to benefit Klenet’s clients.
The offensive against the media has already won them a front-page retraction by the Miami Herald.
The Herald story was false top to bottom.
However, it wasn’t really the reporters fault. The county minutes were in error.
Expect more pushback from Ritter and Klenet.
They have consulted with attorneys.
They will be striking back.

Stacy has got to fight back, evan though she is married to Russ Klenet.We thought it would never work out and it did so we were wrong. God bless. Happiness is found in the strangest place. Stacy is a wonderful woman and she is what every one would want as a daughter. Stand up to those who would criticize your success, Stacy

OH, PLEEEZE. KLENET NEVER SAW A DOLLAR HE DIDN’T GRUB FOR. HE WWOULD JUMP IN THE SWANNWE RIVER TO PICK UP A FEW COINS AND RITTER ALL FOR IT, AS LONG AS RUSS USES THE COINS TO BUY HER A NEW RING.

Ms. Ritter needs to stand up for herself if these articles are not true. Unfortunately, they have already ruined any chance she had to get an appointment in Washington from the Obama Administration.

every dirty elected official will always tell you gifts and money doesn’t influence their judgement or vote. Russ’s entire firm is based upon him raising money for elected officials to be able to lobby them. Ritter do all a favor and say you are sorry to John and Lois and step down for the sake of Broward county. you are a weak commisioner anyway p.s. your dad is a creep too
