Sheriff’s Candidate Granteed Jumps Ahead In Fund Raising

Hollywood Assistant Chief Louie Granteed leaped ahead in contributions in the sheriff’s race.
Meanwhile Scott Israel, the second Democrat running for sheriff, spent almost all the money he raised in the quarter ending Sept. 30 on consultants.
Ouch!
Granteed raised $88,995 and loaned his campaign another $2,500. He spent $2,205.
Israel took in $15,035 in the quarter and spent $14, 280.
Of those expenditures, Israel spent $12,500 for consultants. He must get around a lot, because the rest was mostly for gas.
Amy Rose’s Win On The Ground Consulting got $11,500 and Miami consultant Stephanie Bromfield got another $1,000.
Spending all that upfront cash on consulting is unusual. I personally believe it is foolish.
Israel has now raised a total of $53,535, while Granteed has outraised him with $88,995.
Incumbent Sheriff Al Lamberti doesn’t have to report until January, but is sure to raise lot of money from generous Republicans.

The important policital analysis is that Deputy Chief Granteed raised over $88,995.00 in one quarter compared to Israel raising $53,535.00 in two quarters as the so called 2008 Democratic Nominee. Plus, Israel already spent $14,000.00 of it. His campaign is done, he will never catch up and I believe Granteed is to strong for him.
Deputy Chief Granteed is the right candidate for the Democratic Party. We finally have a viable Candidate who is a top cop, professional, intelligent, well liked, respected and has what it takes to win. I would like to see the Dem. Party meet an ask Israel to get out of the race. No disrespect meant to anyone, just my thoughts and many others.

Scott Israel wins this primary on name recognition alone. Al is cheating himself of money he will need by forcing friends to contribute to Granteed. The same game plan will not work twice. By the way, has Granteed publicly promised not to take that cushy BSO job yet if Lamberti wins? Wonder why. Hmmm.

I suspected the ad-hominem attacks on Granteed would begin as soon as the Israel and Lamberti supporters saw firsthand how big a threat he was. His candidacy has been validated by the tremendous support he has received. he is clearly the frontrunner and a legitimate threat to end Lamberti’s tumultuous tenure as Sheriff.
If Israel cared about the democratic party, he would drop out of the race and throw his support behind Granteed, if Granteed wants it that is.

Looks like Pitbull, the rapper, had his agent give Granteed a fist full of $500 checks from the agent’s various companies. Isn’t that the same PitBull that got off DUI charges? Let’s add him to the list of Diane Glasser and other criminals. It’s nice to have a Sheriff on auto dial when you’re driving around drunk in the middle of the night.

Whether it’s Scott Israel, Scott Rothstein or Scott in Tallahassee, they are all bad news. I guess running around bad mouthing Lamberti about taking Rothstein money caught up with Israel this quarter because his $190,000.00 from Rothstein like in 2008 is badly missing. Plus, that investigation continues???? hummm…..

Louie is an excellent choice for Sheriff. I know him for years after he helped my family and I when going through difficult times. He’s is a wonderful human being and is real. Louie has my full support and is always a true professional that can rise above things like all of these negative and so un-called for attacks on the blogs. Excellent fundraising quarter.

Scott Israel could win this democrat primary with zero dollars even if he went on vacation from now until the election. He has huge name recognition. Democrats remember the slimey Republican campaign that Al Lamberti, Scott Rothstein and Roger Stone ran against Scott Israel. They don’t like the way that went down and remember. They will be eager to get it right this time.
Al Lamberti’s best prayer in Broward remains that Scott Israel not win the primary. Persistent rumors about Granteed being in the pocket of Lamberti are not going away because Granteed refuses to pledge that he will not accept a BSO job under Lamberti. Why wouldn’t he just put that issue to rest by making the statement? Yet Granteed has refused and this is why he can raise all the money he wants. He is not a serious factor in this race. This race is going to be about votes not money.
These are the problems in the Granteed race and we have not even given the police officers in Hollywood a chance to share their views on the Deputy Chief.
Raising money is easy when you have a friend like Al Lamberti and
Granteed and Lamberti are not just friends. They are good friends. Going back at least to when Lamberti was police chief in Hollywood. So the entiere thing smells from the head and Granteed’s campaign cash will do him little good unless he comes clean.

To put it simply, you are a moron. Israel has no name recognition. Remember, he LOST the race to Lamberti! Whatever name recognition he has is bad! Don’t forget, his 2008 opponent Rick Lemack beat him on election day once the truth about Scott started to get out.
Israel also received a ton of money from Scott Rothstein and friends. You can’t throw stones when you yourself live in a glass house.
Granteed’s next fundraising quarter will be outstanding also. Israel’s fundraising will continue to dry up now that people see he is unelectable. I’m sure the Israel supporters will continue to attempt to create the illusion of scandal, but your dirty tricks won’t succeed against a person with no baggage. Granteed is as clean as they come.

The facts are in politics if you don’t have money you don’t win. Name recognition is not going anywhere, especially if it’s not good. Wishful thinking.
Once again you attempt to try and fabricate information about Granteed because you are angry that all of your dirty tactics and all the false rumors you tried to spread around Broward County have not worked for the second campaign in a row. Same story different campaign cycle.
Granteed has never made any statements about raising any particular amount of money. That is another lie by the Israel camp. Who would do that??? Lie
It just so happens that Broward County likes Granteed and trusts him. People all believe he is the best candidate in the race. Israel had his chance and it didn’t work out. No shame in trying, but a person has to know when it’s time to pull the plug for him or her own self respect and reputation. It’s politics my friend.
As to the Lamberti/Granteed relationship. They have known each oither for many years, is it wrong for Granteed to maintain a professional relationship with another law enforcement professional. It’s not wrong, it just shows he is a man of character and can rise above everything else and run a positive campaign.
Granteed has already said over and over again he is in the race to win the race and is not interested in being a shill as you say, or taking a job when he will be the next Sheriff.
You Israel people just keep repeating the same bull over and over again like a broken record. Nobody is listening to you and your negative mud-slinging attacks.
A person doesn’t spend the time, energy and of course raise triple as much money in one quarter as his opponent did in two to take a joy ride. Get over it already.
Granteed is the real deal. He is a very down to earth person and highly respected.
As for the Hollywood, you can tell by the former and current law enforcement campaign contributions his people back him. You can talk to Hollywood COPS and they all like him and fully support him for Sheriff.
Let the sour grapes go… Israel should do what’s right for the Democratic Party and join forces with Granteed. He might not like the idea, but it’s the best thing.

In 2008 Rick Lemack combined with Roger Stones PAC money out-spent Israel 3-1,that’s right,3-1 and still lost. In some states Hillary Clinton out-spent Obama 10-1 and still lost. Yes money is important,but if you think Granteed is going to walk away with this, you are thinking pie in the sky. Remember, Scott is an established candidate,he already ran and won a primary. It doesn’t matter about what he was before or that he lost a major election. His name was on a ballot and he won, that gives him automatic name recognition. Chances are like in most primary’s the same people who voted before will vote again and that’s where his name recognition will play a roll. Lamberti spent over 800,000 to Israel’s 0 and won by a swing vote of about 7500 votes. unless there is a significant gap in money raised, Scott is still the front runner. I’m not Carl Rove, but know the game.

I fully agree that until Granteed states clearly and publicly that he WILL NOT UNDER ANY CIRCUMSTANCES take a job under Sheriff Lamberti, that nobody will take him as anything but another shill. I wonder what Wiley Thompson’s opinion on the matter is?
Nobody has a shot against Sheriff Lamberti anyway, he is finally getting the BSO house in order, so its a pretty lame argument – but the election will still be fun to follow.

Political Activist — We need to hear from Granteed himself, in public and in the newspapers, that he will NEVER accept a BSO job so long as Al Lamberti is Sheriff. He then needs to say why Al Lamberti should not be re-elected and what Granteed offers that is better than Al Lamberti. In other words, he has to run for office.
Right now everybody sees Granteed as connected to Lamberti, offering no alternative.
If Lou Granteed was a beer they would call him “Al Lamberti Light.” If he was in prison, they’d call him Al Lamberti’s bitch. In order to shed his side-kick to Lamberti reputation Granteed has to do it himself. He has to campaign. But he won’t and that’s what makes people suspicious of him. Democrats know what Lamberti is capable of doing because he’s done it before. They are suspicious of Granteed and Lou gives them every reason to feel that way.
Granteed cannot win this race by licking Lamberti’s balls or trying to play the nice guy. He has to oppose Lamberti and convince voters why he will do a better job. So far he has offered no reason to vote for him over Al Lamberti. There can only be one rational reason for that. He is in league with Lamberti.
Say what you want about Scott Israel nobody accuses him of being Al Lamberti’s lap dog. It is clear that he wants nothing to do with Lamberti’s BSO. That alone will get Israel past Granteed in the primary. He doesn’t need one thin dime to make that point with voters. They already know.

You are obviously connected to the Israel campaign. I dont know if Granteed is the guy yet or not. I do like him out of the three announced candidates.
I have seen Israelites bad mouth Granteed and Israel. I have NEVER seen the other way around. So Granteed doesnt badmouth Lamberti. Who cares he doesn’t badmouth Israel either.
As for campaigning, Granteed has spent more money at Dem clubs across Broward and has raised a ton of money. That suggests to me he is campaigning and people are listening

Dear Mr. Real Deal or Scott,
You frustration is clear in your message that your 2012 Campaign is in serious trouble. The reason you don’t want to hear the answers to your already answered over and over and over and over again is because you run your mouth all over town with lies and are pissed a candidate like Granteed will not partake in your little games and lower himself to your level. That is what makes hi ma far superior candidate than you.
For a newcomer, Granteed does have significant name recognition and now has show he can raise plenty of money. A matter of fact, he raised three times what Israe’ in just one quarter to two of Israel’s quarters. I agree with some of the other posts, if he didn’t havea good message, if he didn’t have support all over Broward and if he couldn’t raise money then how did he raise over 93K in one quarter. It is simply, people think he is the best Candidate and that he can win. You had your chance and couldn’t win. You can talk all you want, the facts are the facts and the message is clear. You had your turn and unfortunately it didn’t work out. It means in tyhe political world, it’s time to get out and move on.
Also, I think it’s despicable for yo uand your friends to continue to attack and person and use the foul and disgraceful things said in your post. It is just a clearer picture of the people surrounding Israel and how poor the character is of his inner circle.
Granteed, keep doing what your doing, it’s is working excellent and people are supporting you and not Israel. I like that you will not engage in the bull and stay focused on your own campaign. It is a positive reflection of your character and professional experience.

Either Granteed ends the rumor by pledging not to accept any job under a Lamberti BSO or he flames the rumor that he is a shill for that campaign. Either Granteed states why he would be a better sheriff than Lamberti or he has no business running against an incumbent sheriff. All the rest of this stuff is pointless.
