Senate Candidate Loeb’s Wife Files For Divorce

State Senate Candidate Nick Loeb’s got a new problem: His wife filed for divorce.

Anne Loeb filed October 2 citing “irreconcilable differences, according to Jose Lambiet’s Page 2 column in the Palm Beach Post.
She has been spending more time in Sweden lately. Heir to a New York City financial fortune, Loeb and the former Anne Pettersson, a photographer, were married about four years ago.
The divorce comes about a month after she was busted for DUI in Palm Beach County. The case is still pending.

Meanwhile, Loeb’s campaign seems to have stalled.
He hasn’t been seen campaigning recently. His contribution report for the Third Quarter ending September 30 hasn’t been filed yet.
Loeb is running in the Republican primary against state Reps. Ellyn Bogdanoff of Fort Lauderdale and Carl Domino of Jupiter. The northeast Broward and Palm Beach County seat is currently held by Senate President Jeff Atwater.
Bogdanoff’s campaign announced that she raised $132,900 in the third quarter to Domino’s $5,900.
She has nearly $200,000 cash on hand as of September 30. Domino had $119,359, of which $100,000 is his own money.
But fund raising is more important to Bogdanoff than to Domino. He is the second richest lawmaker in the Florida Legislature with a net worth of almost $24 million.

Loeb was never a factor in this race, except by staying in he would split the Palm Beach vote in the primary. Thus, Ellyn would have an advantage if she took a majority of the Broward vote and peeled off a little of the Palm vote. With Loeb out of the race, she faces Domino alone. That means she must face a multi-millionaire who can put anything in the race. Not good.

Ellyn is a closet Mario Rubio supporter, which could hurt her with Crist people.
