Rothstein’s Restaurant New Home For GOP
BY BUDDY NEVINS
Super GOP fund raiser Scott Rothstein not only fills Republicans’ pockets. He fills their stomach’s, too.
Riley McDermott’s restaurant is the latest acquisition added to Rothstein’s empire.
So it is no surprise that U. S. Sen. Joe Lieberman’s pitch to Jews for the McCain/Palin ticket took place today at the restaurant in downtown Fort Lauderdale.
Expect more Republican fund raisers at Riley McDermott now that Rothstein owns the joint.
The loser in this may end up the Riverside Hotel, which is across the street from Rothstein’s restaurant and housed many Republican events over the years.
Riley McDermott’s is on the ground floor of the building that houses Rothstein’s law firm at 401 East Las Olas Boulevard.

The Rich get Richer and the Poor get Poorer in Broward County, in fact, all over the country. The republican rule has to end. William Jefferson Clinton was the best present of late that we have had. Wish we were back financially as we were with Bill, who cares who he did or did not sleep with.

As long as someone gets rich honestly I don’t care how much they have.

I’m up and down Las Olas [or what’s left of it]almost every night–I always see the big in-town and visiting republicans at Jackson’s–I’ve only been to Riley’s once but it seems like a wierd place for them.
