Poll: Woman Will Be Prez Within 10 Yrs

It’s the one glass ceiling women haven’t been able to break.

Yet better than three-fourths of American voters believe it is likely that a woman will be elected president within 10 years.

That’s the findings of the latest Rasmussen Report national telephone poll.

Of 1,000 likely voters contacted this week, 77 percent said it is at least Somewhat Likely that a woman will be elected president in the next 10 years. This includes 37% who say it’s Very Likely.

That’s up from 60 percent in December 2006.

Both polls were done when Hillary Clinton was the frontrunner for the Democratic nomination.

Just 18% consider it Unlikely a woman will be elected president in the next decade. and only four percent (4%) who think it’s Not At All Likely.

The poll was conducted Jan. 13-14.  The margin of sampling error is +/- 3 percent.
