The Broward mayors are Wayne Messam of Miramar, Becky Tooley of Coconut Creek, WalterSkip” Campbell of Coral Spring and Mike Ryan of Sunrise.

Murphy, of Jupiter, faces U. S. Rep. Alan Grayson, of Orlando, in August Democratic primary for the seat now held by U. S. Sen. Marco Rubio, R-West Miami. Much of the Democratic establishment is backing Murphy.

Four Republicans are also running.

As a 70 year old Native Floridan whose family has held Democratic Party elected posts since 1867 I can readily see the decline in moderates n conservatives in our ranks has destroyed our Senate n Hiuse majorities. All politics is local. Our state is right of center n rarely if ever can a statewide left of centre candidate win in modern times. Running an extreme Leftist like Grayson with the people skills of Ted Cruz n the intellectual honesty of the honesty of the Clown Car Republican presidential candidates kills any chance of regaining the Senate n endangers other lower down the Ballot as the Clown Car will do for tthe Republicans.

Buddy there was no mention of Pam Keith. The Democratic Candidate who filed before both Congressman Pat Murphy and Congressman Grayson. I know this was an article describing support for Murphy but if we at naming two Democratic Candidates we should name all. Just an opinion.

  3. Count LF Chodkiewicz Chudzikiewicz says:

Just an opinion I have is unknown candidates are unknown because they have NO SUPPORT and any publicity they get just hurts REAL CANDIDATES with real support n frankly mentioning unknown Democratic candidates just causes the trouble that we Democrats have in defeating increasingly right wing Republicans.
