Kristin Jacobs Gets Photo Op With Wasserman Schultz

BY BUDDY NEVINS

Congressional candidate Kristin Jacobs today talked transportation today with U. S. Rep. Debbie Wasserman Schultz and Federal Transit Administrator Peter Rogoff.

More important:  Jacobs got a photo op with Wasserman Schultz, the Democratic National Committee Chair and a figure beloved by Ds locally.

Since her congressional race is all about Democrats until after the primary, face time with Debbie can’t hurt.

Wasserman Schultz hasn’t endorsed in this race in northeast Broward and Palm Beach Counties.

Channel 10 was there.  It made Browardbeat.com.

“With gas prices predicted to reach $5 by this summer, President Obama’s commitment to improving our transit systems, railways and infrastructure is more important than ever.  However, if the House passes the transportation bill in its current form, critical Federal funds would be lost,”  Broward County Commissioner Jacobs said.  “We need to stand together to protect and ensure continued investments in public transportation.”

Here is one photo, supplied by the Jacobs campaign:

She notes that gas will rise to $5 a gallon under Obama’s watch, but we should tax ourselves to build more transit. Wow, what a campaign platform
