Forum for Judicial Candidates Planned

Ft. Lauderdale, Florida

The Broward Judicial Watch will host two judicial forums for judicial candidates to meet the community and engage in a discussion panel at Nova Southeastern University (NSU) located at 3301 College Avenue, Fort Lauderdale-Davie, Florida 33314-7796. The first of this two part series will be held on Thursday, July 22, 2010 at NSU’s Miniaci Center at 6:00 p.m., for all Broward Circuit Court Judicial Candidates.  Our second judicial forum for all Broward County Court Judicial Candidates will take place on Thursday, July 29, 2010, at NSU’s Law School Atrium and will begin at 6:00 p.m. A Meet-and-Greet session with the candidates will be held at 8pm following each forum. Refreshments will be provided.

All judicial candidates have been invited to attend on their respective dates and engage in a panel discussion responding to questions compiled by the Broward Judicial Watch Committee. Various representatives of our local voluntary bar associations, community organizations and our community at large are invited to attend these judicial forums.  

The Broward Judicial Watch is a coalition of voluntary bar associations and their respective leaders and representatives who are engaged in providing an opportunity for judicial candidates to meet the community during their judicial campaigns and provide information about our candidates to our community.

    I wonder if one of the Judicial Contenders will get up and talk about their bankruptcy from 2001 or their trust fund that was created to help them with their financial affairs. Or that they don’t even possess a simple checking account.

    I wonder if some of the Judicial Contenders will get up and talk about collecting unemployment benefits and how they can be compassionate because they had the shear nerve to tell a hearing officer that they needed to keep collecting unemployment benefits because they could not get hired as a doctor, lawyer or a Native American chief.

    Hopefully, these contenders will get up and tell the people the truth.
