Former School Board member Stephanie Kraft had her license to practice law suspended several months ago because of her criminal conviction, according to a news release today from the Florida Bar.

Kraft’s Bar membership is suspended “until further order.”

She is appealing her conviction for official misconduct, but an appeal does not  “alter the effective date of the discipline,” the Bar said in its release.

Under her sentence, Kraft received 5 years probation and 20 hours of community service.  If she completes the probation satisfactorily, she could have her criminal record cleared.

Here is the relevant portion of the news release:

Stephanie Arma Kraft, 1440 Coral Ridge Drive, No. 217, Coral Springs, suspended until further order, effective 30 days from a March 18 court order. (Admitted to practice: 1988) In December 2014, Kraft was convicted of official misconduct after a jury trial. Official misconduct is a third-degree felony.
Kraft is appealing the criminal case. (Case No. SC15-486)

  2. Talks like a politician says:

When was the last time she used this license? Broward County court records indicate there is a lot of dust on on the document. Is she thinking about opening shop again? Good luck in finding clients!

    FROM BUDDY:

Actually, Stephanie Kraft hasn’t practiced law since 1998.

She is lucky that she is not in jail. She had very good lawyers. I would have thrown your husband under the bus. He crafted and orchestrated the whole deal to begin w/. Sell Avon, work at the mall. One thing the Bar does not want you practicing law.. I don’t feel sorry for her. Have the “snitches” the Chaits give you a job. Since they along w/ your husband got you in this mess to begin w/. I hope it was worth it.. Keep in mind and also be a lesson to some of you elected officals that we the residents who are paying for all of this will not stand for any mishandling etc of taxpayer revenue. Keep the calls coming guys I may not be able to vote but I certainly can go the distance. What ever it takes etc….
