First Bogdanoff TV Ad Full Of GOP Buzz Words

BY BUDDY NEVINS

Fort Lauderdale Republican state Rep. Ellyn Bogdanoff’s first TV ad has been released in her campaign for state Senate.

This is a feel-good ad designed to warm the hearts of the Republican voters in the northeast Broward and Palm Beach Counties Senate district.

Bogdanoff walks on a porch against a background of flowers. She is dressed in a red jacket, which is the only thing flashy in this ad pitched at both moderate and conservative Republicans.

Bogdanoff squeezes in as many Republican buzz words as can fit in 30 seconds:

Bogdanoff “protects” children and seniors from “online preditors.” She believes in programs which “reward hard work and personal reponsibility.” She has a record of protecting beaches.

And, of course, the old Republican stand by:  She believes in “lower taxes.”

Its a classic, well-done GOP primary ad.  And this race in the Republican-leaning District 25 is all about the GOP primary.

This is only the first Bogdanoff ad.  There will be more since she had approximately $270,000 in the bank as of March 31.

Her opponent is state Rep. Carl Domino, R-Jupiter, had $84,301, but he is one of the richest men in the state Legislature and has already put $110,000 in the race.

State Rep. Maria Sachs, D-Delray Beach was quoted in the Palm Beach Post as called Domino “the most bipartisan Republican in the Florida House during a speech at the Forum Club of the Palm Beaches this week.

That may not be helpful for Domino in a Republican primary, but he is quoted as saying “I’ll take it as a good thing.

The first Bogdanoff ad can be seen here.

  1. Bogdanoff Should Lose says:

She backed the education bill which would have ruined our schools and the bill requiring women to PAY FOR an ultra sound before an abortion. Defeat her.

  2. Da Gotts says:

she needs a real job, like a homemaker, Really she is and has been , lost in space.

  3. A Genius Knows When to Keep His Mouth Shut says:

Oh Please, the bill was virtually the same as the bills being passed all over the country with agreement from the Unions. I have no idea who’s brilliant idea at the FEA it was to fall on the sword for this when we came in fourth without their support anyway.

Let me ask you this, is the virtually identical bill that was passed in NY and praised by the NY Times going to destroy their schools there?

  4. GOPapa says:

Bogdanoff has swung very far to the right in an attempt to win this primary. She was a moderate who apparently will do anything to be elected. I like Domino.

  5. Mark says:

Domino still supports Charlie Crist and has a new ad out that tries to tell everyone how down to earth he is. He forgot to mention he lives like a billionaire and hasn’t done a thing for the little guy his entire career in office.
