Ex-State Rep’s Hubbie Charged In DUI

The husband of a former state representive has been charged with hitting two pedestrians while drunk.
Former State Rep. Susan Goldstein: Spouse Busted
Irving I. Goldstein, 56, was arrested on Wednesday. He is the husband of Susan K. Goldstein.
Susan Goldstein was a one-term Republican state representative from Weston, serving from 2004-2006.
She was defeated by Martin Kiar in 2006 53 to 47 percent.

Description of Incident:
An impaired motorist who struck a couple Tuesday night as they walked their dogs in Weston now faces charges of DUI and leaving the scene of a crash causing serious injuries.
Shortly before 9 p.m. February 2, Keith and Penny Grumer were walking their two dogs in the gated community of Weston Hills when they were struck by a car driven by Irving Goldstein.
Broward Sheriff’s Office traffic homicide detectives said Goldstein was heading west on Weston Hills Boulevard when he drifted to the right as he approached Weston Hills Drive. Goldstein failed to maintain control of his 2008 Infiniti G375 and struck the Grumers who were walking on the sidewalk. The car came to rest on the golf course adjacent to the roadway.
Witnesses said Goldstein got out of the car and left the scene on foot. He was later found wandering the neighborhood and apprehended by deputies. Broward Sheriff Fire Rescue rushed the Grumers to Broward General Medical Center (BGMC) in critical condition. Goldstein was taken to BGMC as well for treatment of minor injuries. Upon his release from the hospital Wednesday morning, he was taken into custody on two counts of DUI with serious bodily injury and two counts of leaving the scene of a crash involving personal injuries.
Keith and Penny Grumer remain hospitalized.

She is not responsible for the actions of her spouse and it is not fair to pair her picture with the headline of this article.
You left out the most important thing in the story. What happened to the dogs the pedestrians were walking? Hope they were okay.

Golstein reportedly had .27 blood alcohol level-three times the legal limit and fled the scene without calling 911-he belongs in jail for tje rest of his life

Sam’s Groupie is correct. This has nothing to do with her. I think that it is inappropriate to publicize her husband’s mistake (however HUGE) using Susan’s good name.
