Bogdanoff Hooks Huge Endorsement
BY BUDDY NEVINS
State Rep. Ellyn Bogdanoff has snared a huge endorsement in her state Senate race Senate President-Designate Mike Haridopolis and parts of his future leadership team.
Ellyn Bogdanoff
The Haridopolis endorsement means that Bogdanoff, R-Fort Lauderdale, is a favorite of the future leaders of the state Senate. That can’t be bad for the northeast Broward and Palm Beach County district she is running in.
If she wins, she will benefit from a key rule of the Legislature: Those friendly with the leadership gets things done. Those not friendly with the leaders go home empty handed.
Bogdanoff is running against state Rep. Carl Domino, R-Jupiter, in the GOP primary to replace state Senate President Jeff Atwater, who’s running for chief financial officer.
Don’t count Domino out. The financial advisor is one of the richest members of the Legislature.
The winner of the GOP primary will face Democratic state Rep. Kelly Skidmore of Boca Raton.
State Senate District 25 leans Republican.
Others endorsing Bogdanoff Tuesday include state Sen. Joe Negron, R-Stuart, whose district includes some of Domino’s northern Palm Beach County constituents, and Senators Andy Gardiner, R-Orlando, and Don Gaetz, R-Niceville.
(Personal disclosure: Aaron Nevins, my son, is a district aide for Bogdanoff. He has no role in her campaign.)

I wouldn’t be so sure that a Republican can win this anti-incumbent year.
These are Democratic counties. I read in the Palm Beach Post that the district is now Democrat. Skidmore is more to our liking.

The Dems have written this seat off and Carl will be dropping out soon. Bogdanoff is going to walk right into this seat. Dems will get slaughtered in November.

Ellyn is uber qualified and is on the right side of the issues for Florida. This seat will be her’s in fall.
