GOP’s Adam Hasner Has $1 Million Cash In Bank While D’s Fight Primary

BY BUDDY NEVINS

Either Democrat winning House District 22 in Broward and Palm Beach Counties will have a fight on her hands.

The Republican Adam Hasner today announced he had over $1 million in the bank after raising more than $500,000 in the quarter just ended.

Former West Palm Beach Mayor Lois Frankel and Broward County Commissioner Kristin Jacobs will be using a lot of their money in the August Democratic primary. Although the numbers favor Democrats, no one should discount the kind of money Hasner has been raising.

Here is Hasner’s news release:

Boca Raton – The Adam Hasner for United States House of Representatives campaign in Florida’s District 22 announced today that Adam raised $558,935 in the second quarter of fundraising in 2012.  This brings the campaign’s total amount of cash on hand to over $1 million.

Adam Hasner said, “We are truly thankful for all the support we have received and look forward to meeting new people every day who recognize the importance of this election and support my candidacy.”

Campaign Manager Brad Herold stated, “We will continue to build on this positive momentum because our eventual opponent will be well-funded.   Adam and our team look forward to spending more time meeting with voters and supporters who believe in Adam’s vision that a badly broken Washington must be fixed to get our economy going again.”

  1. Broward D says:

Oh Adam, silly elephant, don’t you know this is a Democratic seat that is tired of the right wing BS?
Just biding my time till you will feel the onslaught of my FREE local Dem activism, something your money can’t buy. Oh and its priceless…

  2. Heavy D says:

Anyone who gives to this guy is a fool and is wasting their money cause as the last poster stated this seat is Blue.

    FROM BUDDY:
Although I agree that the Democrat will probably win this seat, I NEVER underestimate the potential for Democrats to screw up.

  3. DeeDee says:

Pandering to what he envisions Jewish voters care about, Hasner says the Democrats and Obama “sold out Israel.” He has been bought by the ultra-right wing casino owner Sheldon Adelson.

Jews in America are much more concerned with the economy and economic fairness than Israel. The Democrats have a corner on economic issues because the Republicans have always been and continue to be the party of the rich like Adelson who pull Hasner’s strings.

  4. Not for Nothin' says:

1 million? Allen West had over 8 million looked at the numbers and ran like a scared rabbit for a red district.

  5. Floridan says:

Whether Jacobs or Frankel wins the Dem nomination, Hasner will face a much yougher opponent than did West. Klein ran a weak campaign in 2010.

  6. Sidelines says:

120 days from now we will know, but my money is on Hasner, not because he is the better candidate, but because Frankel, who will win Aug 14, has too many that dislike her.
