Update: Why We Need Daily Newspapers Report on Channel 6 Tonight

Correspondent Nick Bogert of NBC-Channel 6 is preparing a report on why the survival of daily newspapers are important to the civic life of South Florida.
Bogert’s story is expected to be on the 6 p.m. news tonight, December 31, the 20th anniversary of the death of The Miami News.
The idea for the Channel 6 story was generated by a December 28 blog entry on Browardbeat.com, Bogert said.

And so as stated by me in the earlier posting as well in the story on Channel 6, the paper organizations need to find a way to eliminate the paper and ink.
Its going to take new modes of thinking rather than the same old corporate mentality which has obviously been and continues to be the roadblock that will just continue to shut down publishers by the scores.
