But didn’t realize that stealing millions and living an eccentric lifestyle off the money of others was “good fortune”.

First and foremost, on behalf of the Emerald Society it was our honor and privilege to award Mr. Rothstein our Humanitarian of the Year Award.

I am sure Mr. Rothstein gets asked to participate in many many charitable events and from what I have read he is generous to all of them.

The point of making Mr. Rothstien our Humanitarian of the Year was to celebrate him for his good work in our community, not to have him purchase tables and advertisements.

I am proud to say even in an off election year and with the current state of our economy the Emerald Society Breakfast was one of the most profitable we have ever had. Part of our success this year was the show of support from the community who attended to celebrate all of our honorees.
