Here is a contribution you never thought you would see:

That’s $1,000 from News Corporation’s political action committee to Democrats Win Seats, which is U. S. Rep. Debbie Wasserman Schultz’s PAC. News Corporation is the print media corporation owned by conservative media tycoon Rupert Murdoch.

Here is the link.

As Democratic National Committee Chair, Wasserman Schultz is often a piñata for News Corp’s newspapers — the New York Post and the Wall Street Journal.

Wasserman Schultz is also a regular target of another Murdoch property, Fox News. That network is owned by 20th Century Fox, a Murdoch-owned entity.

My thanks to my ink-stained pal Dan Christensen of Browardbulldog.org for pointing this out to me.

Murdoch really isn’t a conservative, he just wants government to leave his business alone. As far as FOX News goes, he saw a niche that was not being served by traditional media, and he filled it.

Writing a check to Debbie Wasser-person Schulz is just the cost of doing business. He probably wrote a big check for an opposing Republican PAC. Besides, he probably spends more on cornflakes than that $1000 check. Chicken feed to him.

  2. Its just business says:

Rothstein gave to everyone. It wasn’t personal or partisan politics just business.

When I was an elected democratic n public official I repeatedly saw contributions to our partys candidates from me murdochs companies n he always included all democratic and liberal party office holders in his rather good breakfasts with guests from governor Mario coumo down to minor elected officials like me. He has never let party labels interfere with trying to solicit support specifically or generally here. In the UK England Australia Germany or itsly although he never would give a dime to anti Semitic parties especially in Germany or in frsnce

@Its just business: Nice Try. Rothstein gave hundreds of thousands to Crist. He never gave a nickel to Sink. Keep drinking the kool-aid

  5. Ron Mills says:

Murdock, has been close friends with the Clintons, since Bill moved his office to Harlem and Murdock raised money for Hillary’s Senate race

  6. To Ghost says:

Maybe Rothstein knew Crist was really a Democrat at heart?

I agree, and few people recognize this. Good call.
