David Di Pietro, Broward Health Chair & GOP Powerhouse, Endorses Donald Trump

Broward Health Chair David Di Pietro has taken time out from the scandal enveloping the public health system to endorse Donald Trump.

One of South Florida’s leading GOP fund raiser and strategist, Di Pietro signed a pledge card for Trump, which is reproduced below.
“I’m with Trump! It’s true,” Di Pietro e-mailed Browardbeat.com.
Di Pietro is one of the most formidable local insiders to join Trump. He was Mitt Romney’s Broward chair four years ago and has raised thousands of dollars for numerous candidates across the state.
In Broward, he was instrumental in the re-election in 2014 of Broward’s only Republican County Commissioner, Chip LaMarca. He calls LaMarca “a close friend.”
He is also friendly with Gov. Rick Scott, who appointed him to the governing board of the $1 billion-plus Broward Health, the public health system for the northern two thirds of the county. Scott also appointed his wife Nina Di Pietro to the Broward County Court last year.
Just last week, Di Pietro was reported to be defending Ted Cruz in a Broward law suit challenging his eligibility to be president.
Michael Voeltz, a car salesman, sued Cruz, Marco Rubio, Florida Secretary of State Ken Detzner and the Republican Party of Florida alleging Cruz and Rubio should be removed from the Florida Presidential primary ballot because they do not meet the Constitutional requirements to be President, according to RedBroward.com.
Recently Di Pietro has been distracted from the hot presidential race by the allegations of impropriety at Broward Health. The state Office of Inspector General and the FBI have launched investigations into the hospital system’s pending.
But it didn’t stop him from jumping aboard the Trump bandwagon today:

Forgot to mention his wife Nina the Judge is up for election this year. The Di Pietro name all over the press this summer in the midst of the BH scandal and a Trump lover to boot. Nina looks like the second coming of Ilene Lieberman. Dan Lewis and McHugh took out Lieberman. One has to wonder who the next McHugh could be.

Nina, a non-politician, is a judge. Lieberman, a life-long politician, lost an election to become a judge after a career as a County Commissioner and mayor of Lauderdale.

He probably thinks Trump will get the nomination and name Rick Scott as his running mate. That would be interesting. Imagine Hillary Clinton v. Trump. Assuming for a minute that Scott was his running mate, how effectively would Mrs. C destroy Scott on his record of medicare/medicaid fraud and all the shenanigans at Broward Health, which Di Pietro is much involved in. That would be a nice gift to Hillary, the healthcare advocate. Be careful David. You keep sleeping with those big dogs and you’re going to get some fleas on you.

No wonder Little David likes Trump. He is a deal maker like Trump and has no values, but the value of $$$$ Little David hung on Bill Scherer’s coat tails for years. Now he stumbles trying to emulate Scherer at the hospital district, forcing doctors and vendors to give money to the candidates he favors. Is Little David scared of the what FBI will find? Inquiring minds want to know

Interesting. Both Lamarca and Cindy Guerra, another former Broward GOP chair made it clear yesterday on Facebook they’re not supporting Trump. Incidentally DiPietro didn’t do anything to help get Lamarca elected except maybe write a check. As a matter of fact DiPietro has been riding on the coattails of Lamarca from the beginning
