Sam is not a God hater…. See that’s where you *just* don’t get it.

Sam, like myself, doesn’t believe in a God. Or Gawd.. Or whatever you like to term it…

So, logically speaking, which I know is a stretch for you religious types, but logically speaking, how can you hate something that doesn’t exist.

It never ceases to amaze me how all of you who claim be the children of a loving god are the most vindictive nasty bunch of evil wishers.

Well here is the bad news. I am successful, happy and healthy. I have rolled with the punches on some of lifeâ€™s difficulties and done it without asking for help from the supernatural.

I have known Buddy for 20 years and I am sure he will confirm it is true. If that is not enough I would be glad to meet with you face to face and listen to your best arguments about your god and why I am so miserably unhappy but just donâ€™t know it.

Since I never said what my belief concerning God was, you seem to be making assumptions.
Einstein was hardly an atheist and made a point of saying such. I see that you deleted that part from the Wikipedia stuff. He specifically denied being an atheist.
The quote you cited references Einstein as referring to Spinoza’s God as “Himself.” The fact that he equated God with mysteries he could not understand in no way attempts to denounce the existence of a God. Einstein simply did not have all the answers, and knowing how brilliant he was, he rightly presumed that there must be something else out there that is beyond explanation. His statement that “Science without religion is lame, Religion without science is blind” pretty much says it all. Even someone as brilliant as Einstein used the theory of the possible existence of “God” to look for answers to the questions that perplexed even a man of his genius. So while he may not have been in line with all the bible thumpers, he still was of the opinion that there’s something even beyond his ability to understand and explain.

Einstein also said “Imagination is more important then knowledge” He is also a man who’s own life lead to a greater chance of the destruction of mankind. He helped create the greatest weapon known to mankind, justifying it, he had to do it before enemies of allies forces scientist did then spent the rest of his life lobbying to put an end to wars. Trust me Einstein said his share of prayers he felt extremely guilty and wanted to be forgiven. He knew he could possibly be the man ultimately responsible for destroying the world(yet to be determined). Einstein and his life was and always will be a contradiction in terms. At one point in time he would say one thing at another point something completely contradictory. Just like religion, alot of bad things can be done in the name of good and alot of good things in the name of bad. Thats just life! Sam is just to ignorant or blinded by some deranged ego to see it. Such a loser and smuck. Sam is a waste of bandwidth.

Albert einstein did not believe in God in any sense like you. He used the term to equate with the mysteries he did not understand.

Wikipedia:

Goldstein “I believe in Spinozaâ€™s God, who reveals Himself in the lawful harmony of the world, not in a God Who concerns Himself with the fate and the doings of mankind.”[80] In a 1954 letter, he wrote, “I do not believe in a personal God and I have never denied this but have expressed it clearly.â€[81] In a letter to philosopher Erik Gutkind, Einstein remarked, “The word God is for me nothing more than the expression and product of human weakness, the Bible a collection of honorable, but still purely primitive, legends which are nevertheless pretty childish.”[82]

His line that “God does not play dice with the universe” was a metaphor for his quest for a uniform theory. It no more showed a belieff in your idea of a god than Yankee announcer Phil Rizzuto repeatedly proclaiming “Holy Mackeral” made him a fish worshiper.
