Cops Gone Wild: Sex While On Duty

New York mayorial candidate Anthony Weiner isn’t the only one with a weiner problem.
I have seen or heard of almost everything after four decades in the media, including a stint covering cops and courts.
Still, this one stunned even me. I was flabbergasted by a report in late June on an investigation into the The Lakeland Police Department which was passed to me this week.
The State Attorney in Polk County of having 10 sworn officers engage in “sex acts or sexually suggestive behavior” while on duty. This took place in the police department, in city buildings, in patrol cards, in parks and on private property.
Of the 10 having sex on duty, five were supervisors.
This is astounding. I just wonder how much of this kind of boorish behavior is going on in local PDs.

Well, this is pretty typical. Polk County is well known as the most sexually repressed county in Florida. There have been national news stories about people being arrested there just for running webcam based Internet sex sites from their homes. Pretty much anything you do there that is related to sex and is publicly knowable will get you arrested and persecuted, with massive violations of your Constitutional rights. Polk County copies the thoroughly evil Satz approach – pick on poor defendants who can’t afford to fight back against a taxpayer-funded prosecutor, stack up a pile of trumped-up charges against hapless citizens concerning victimless so-called “crimes”, etc.
It is very well established by Internet statistics for porn site visits that the “redder” and more sexually repressed a place is, the higher the rate at which its citizens visit porn sites. Not only that, but the sexually repressed places visit much “kinkier” sites as well. And the hypocrisy of anti-sex crusaders is another well established phenomenon. Mark Foley was a crusader, then he got caught. Jimmy Swaggart, America’s leading television evangelist, resigned from his ministry after it was revealed he had been consorting with a prostitute. It goes on and on.
So whenever you see heavy sexual repression, rest assured that the most intense sexual desires and practices can also be found in exactly that same location. Repression never reduces sexual desire, it only makes it stronger.

Chief Franklin Adderley has dated subordinates, give him a call he will be forthcoming with you….We have our own Weiner’s in Fort Lauderdale there is no need to go to Polk County for a poke.

That report is absolutely heartbreaking to read. I’m sick to my stomach, and I only read a few pages. I’ve never been very trusting of law enforcement. But now . . Phhhhh! WTF!

This woman involved seems like she is the cause of most of these problems. She hardly ever said “no” and constantly sent nude pictures of herself to anybody and everybody.
I think, at least half of it, she instigated and most she went along with. I think she made a good bit of it up as well.

I agree that the woman involved is troubled to say the least. That does not excuse cops taking advantage of her, especially while they are duty.
As far as making it up, many cops seemed to back up her testimony.

fire them all. PS Sue Eberle is what’s wrong with this country, just blame an abusive childhood blah blah blah. she never said no. i’m pretty sure she was a willing participant until she was caught. she’s what’s wrong and makes life sooooo difficult for true victims.

For the record the personal Police Chief Adderley has dated where not in his dept. therefore where not techinally his suborbinates. He is doing a great job running the police dept. He is also a good father. Just because he has made some poor personel decesions in his private life doesn’t mean he isn’t a good man. Also to point out my mother loved him,(big kiss she gave him) she stated one night at the Comm. meeting how handsome he was. My reply yeah, he certainly is…..

The Chief did not quit.

Chief Roger Boatner, who was chief when a lot of this happened, retired.
Chief Lisa Womack, who was there when the report was issued, remains at the Lakeland PD for now. She says she inherited an undisciplined department two years ago. Some officers and supervisors have been fired.

Sam Fields is correct in that being female and sexually active is just fine. In this specific case it seems likely that at least some of her sexual activity was the result of coercion from male police officers. That might justify calling the male officers “sick”, but it certainly doesn’t mean that she has any kind of problem (other than being stuck with these coworkers who misbehave). To call this woman “sick” is to blame the victim.
